Mother in court in death of disabled son who drank windshield fluid

PITTSFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI - The case against a Sylvan Township woman charged in connection with her disabled son's 2015 death has been delayed.
Paulette Redding's 21-year-old son, who had cerebral palsy, died June 30, 2015, after drinking windshield wiper fluid at Redding's home, about 10 miles west of Ann Arbor, police previously said. Police were called June 27, 2015, to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital to investigate, and the death was ruled an accident.
